We are delighted and proud that Joseph Coelho's 'The Boy Lost in the Maze' is winner of this year's Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing. This supreme accolade adds to its international distinctions as an International Board for Books for Youth (IBBY) Honour Book, and as a Notable Book in the International Youth Library's prestigious 'White Ravens' list. We also congratulate Joseph on his award of an OBE in the King's birthday honours list, for services to children's reading and to literature, as he comes to the end of his two-year tenure as Children's Laureate.
